For the Netflix film Sous la Seine, our studio performed matchmove on nearly 80 shots in underwater scenes, without the use of trackers. This technical challenge tested our expertise and our ability to work in complex conditions.

The absence of visual markers in the aquatic scenes made camera tracking particularly difficult. Our teams had to analyze natural elements like water ripples and the movement of objects to accurately recreate the camera’s movement and seamlessly integrate visual effects.

Using advanced tracking tools and a rigorous methodology, we successfully ensured the perfect integration of 3D elements into the underwater environments. This project was a true test of precision and coordination but also an opportunity to push the technical boundaries of our team. We worked with Digital District on this project.
